Peach Sweet Tea with Mango Habanero Kick

Servings: 6-8 Servings/ Prep time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups water, divided
  • 4 family-size black tea bags or 8 regular tea bags
  • 3/4 to 1 cup sugar, to taste
  • 2 cups peach nectar or peach juice
  • 1 cup sliced fresh or frozen peaches
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons Smokin’ Buttz Mango Habanero Sauce, plus more for spicy guests
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Ice
  • Garnish: peach slices, lemon wheels, mint, or sugared rim

Instructions:

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat and add the tea bags.
  2. Steep the tea for 7 to 10 minutes. Do not squeeze the tea bags too hard, because that can make the tea bitter.
  3. Remove tea bags and stir in the sugar while the tea is still warm. Stir until completely dissolved.
  4. In a blender, blend peach nectar, sliced peaches, Mango Habanero Sauce, and lemon juice until smooth.
  5. Pour the peach mixture through a fine strainer if you want a smoother drink. Leave it unstrained for a more rustic fruit tea.
  6. Combine brewed tea, peach mixture, and the remaining 2 cups of cold water in a pitcher.
  7. Chill for at least 1 hour. Taste and adjust: add more sugar for sweetness, more lemon for brightness, or more Mango Habanero Sauce for heat.
  8. Serve over ice. Garnish with peach slices and a small drizzle of Mango Habanero Sauce for a bold presentation.

Sauce Boss Tips:

  • For events, make the tea mild and offer Mango Habanero Sauce at the tasting station as a “turn up the heat” add-in.
  • For a mocktail-style rim, mix sugar with a tiny pinch of Hot Honey Rub or Smoky Buttz Rub and dip the glass rim in lemon juice first.
  • Make a batch concentrate by using less water, then serve over ice so the flavor does not get watered down.
