  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or water to thin sauce
  • Optional garnish: green onion

  3. Stir in milk or cream, butter, and cheese if using. Season with salt and pepper. Keep warm on low heat.
  4. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season evenly with Chicken Rub or All Purpose Rub.
  5. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Add bell pepper and onion. Cook 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
  7. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
  8. Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through.
  9. Lower heat to medium-low. Stir in Smokin’ White Sauce and broth or water. Simmer 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce lightly coats the shrimp.
  10. Spoon creamy grits into bowls. Top with shrimp and sauce. Garnish with green onions, parsley, bacon, or lemon.
