1 slab Baby Back Ribs

Equipment:

Aluminum foil

Large pan

Basting brush

Let’s Get Rubbin!

  1. Remove the membrane from your ribs.
  2. Take a large pan and place your rack of ribs, curve side down on the foil (the side that you removed the membrane will face down).
  3. Sprinkle 1⁄2 of the rub onto the ribs.
  4. Flip and repeat on the other side.
  5. Place ribs in the refrigerator and allow to marinate for at least 2 hours.

It’s Grillin Time!

  1. Preheat your grill placing coals on one side to create an indirect heat zone.
  2. Place Ribs on the hot side and allow it to sear. Flip after 5 minutes to allow it to sear on both sides.
  3. Move the ribs to the indirect side and allow them to continue cooking for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  4. Grab your favorite Smokin Buttz BBQ sauce, and brush the top of the ribs with the sauce. Place the ribs with the sauced side down onto the grill.
  5. While that side chars, brush BBQ sauce on the side facing up. Grill for about 5 minutes per side, until ribs get charred grill marks. Then remove from them the grill. Time To Eat!
  6. Turn your ribs curve side up so you can see the bone and slice your ribs in between the bone
  7. Serve with additional Smokin Buttz BBQ Sauces for the ultimate enjoyment!

Smokin’ Tips

● The Wrap Job: Wrapping your ribs in foil halfway through cooking helps retain moisture
and creates a more tender result. Don’t forget to unwrap them during the last 30 minutes
or so to allow for browning and caramelization.
● Let them Rest: After removing your ribs from the heat, resist the urge to dig in right
away! Let them rest for 15-20 minutes with foil. This allows the juices to redistribute for
an even more satisfying bite.
● If you’re using a smoker, adding wood chips like hickory or applewood can add another
layer of smoky flavor to your ribs. Experiment and find your favorite! Take 1 tbsp of mustard and spread onto the ribs. Sprinkle 1⁄2 of the rub mixture onto the ribs. Flip and repeat on the other side.
