Location: Nashville Farmers Market – Retail Store
Position Type: Part-Time / Workforce Development
Hours: Friday 10:30 am to 2:30pm / Saturday 10:30 am to 3:30 pm/ Sunday 11:00 am to 3:30 pm total will
be 12.5 hours a week that may increase once we get into the busier season.
Program Length: January 2026 to June 2026 (opportunity for permanent employment)
Position Overview
The Retail Sampling & Brand Ambassador (Mascot/Floor Host) supports customer engagement by offering
samples, welcoming visitors, and promoting the Smokin’ Buttz brand throughout the Nashville Farmers
Market. This role may include wearing the Smokin’ Buttz mascot costume during designated times to
attract customers and create a fun, energetic brand experience.
Key Responsibilities
Willing and able to work weekends
Offer samples of sauces and rubs following food safety guidelines
Engage customers and invite them into the retail store
Wear the Smokin’ Buttz mascot costume during scheduled times
Walk the market to promote brand visibility
Answer basic product questions and direct customers to store staff
Assist with light cleanup and restocking as needed

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to wear mascot costume comfortably
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
